Mr Tolias is a Consultant Neurosurgeon with specialist interest in neurovascular conditions (cerebral aneurysms, AVMs, cavernomas, fistulas), spinal problems (cervical and lumbar), including sciatica and arm pain, adult hydrocephalus and head injury. Mr Tolias graduated from Athens Medical School, Greece, gained a PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Warwick and achieved his CCST in Neurosurgery in the UK in 2004 after completing a clinical fellowship in the USA. He has been a Consultant Neurosurgeon at King’s since 2005. Mr Tolias has an extensive list of peer reviewed publications and presentations. He is the Clinical Lead in Neurovascular MDT and Associate Clinical Director for Trauma at King’s College Hospital. His academic work is extensive and ongoing and he is currently one of the Academic Leads in Neurosurgery and co-director of the first nationally accredited Neurovascular Training Fellowship. He is also the Meetings and Communications Secretary of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS).
