Dr Patel is a Consultant Physician at King’s College Hospital where he specialises in respiratory medicine. This includes the investigation and management of cough, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, lung cancer, pleural disease, respiratory failure, sleep apnoea, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, breathlessness of unknown cause and other respiratory conditions. Dr Patel lectures on areas of respiratory medicine and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He is a member of various professional and specialist bodies and he continues to engage in research in respiratory medicine. Dr Patel graduated from King’s College London in 2001 and he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2005. He undertook postgraduate training in respiratory and general medicine at some of the country’s leading hospitals including King’s College Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospital.
