I qualified from the University of Southampton in 1984. I have worked in a variety of hospitals in England and in New Zealand. Following training in general internal medicine I specialised in rheumatology.
I have particular expertise in metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis. I was a consultant at Epsom & St Helier Hospitals NHS Trust from 1996 to 2017 following which I have worked at King’s College Hospital.
All aspects of rheumatology including osteoporosis, bone marrow oedema syndromes, inflammatory arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, gout, back neck and shoulder pain.
