Mr Vasireddy is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon specialising in the management of complex lower limb, pelvis, acetabulum and upper limb fractures. He works as a full-time 100% Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at King’s College Hospital (Major Trauma Centre) in London. He is only one of two full time Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeons in London.

He completed his medical degree at Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ School of Medicine. After medical school and the completion of Basic Surgical Training, he was appointed to the South East Thames Trauma & Orthopaedic Rotation. He completed further specialist Orthopaedic Trauma training at The Royal London Hospital and Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowships at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham (under Prof Moran) and at King’s College Hospital in London. In addition, he has also completed Travelling Fellowships in the USA and has worked at Shock Trauma Centre (Baltimore), Harborview Medical Centre (Seattle), Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston) and MetroHealth Medical Centre (Cleveland).

Mr Vasireddy is one of a handful of surgeons who also works as a Pre-hospital Care Doctor. In this role, he continues to work as a current Pre-Hospital Care Consultant on the Regional Air Ambulance Service and is the research lead for this organisation.

He holds two Academic Lecturer posts:

1. Lecturer at the Institute of Pre-Hospital Care at London’s Air Ambulance

2. Honorary Clinical Lecturer at he Blizard Institute of Trauma Sciences, Barts and The London Medical School.

Mr Vasireddy is the only full-time Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at King’s College Hospital. He is in charge of the three trauma-fellowship training programmes at King’s and is heavily involved in the training of junior doctors. He also has a keen interest in research and was recently presented with the National Institute of Health Research Clinical Research Network Strategic ‘Greenshoots’ Award. He is the principal investigator for numerous national and international research studies. He is invited faculty on many trauma-related courses both nationally and internationally.
