Mr Kawa Omar is a consultant urological surgeon at King’s College Hospital. His clinical practice includes all aspects of general urology and his specialist practice is bladder and kidney cancer management.
He completed his specialist urology training in London in centres of excellence such as Guy’s and King’s hospitals in open, robotic assisted and laparoscopic surgeries. Mr Omar’s general practice includes treatment of general urological conditions of the kidney, bladder, prostate and male genitalia.
He undertakes a wide range of general urological procedures including laser prostate surgery and laser stone surgery. He undertook a master’s degree on infertility and effects of cancer treatment on recovery of fertility at The University of Nottingham.
He has published on urological cancers in peer reviewed journals and presented on Urological cancers at national and international conferences. He is keen on quality improvement projects and has carried out a multitude of projects to improve various aspects of quality of care. He was awarded Anne Savage Award for outstanding service provision at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
